  1. I too liked the idea of receiving a kit in the registration packet, thanks Minicraft. I'm glad this subject has been raised because I have a question regarding the kit I received. I am an armor builder, but I have an interest in building the DC-6B "the Independence" that I received, but only as an out of the box (bag?) build. The kit as issued can be built as "the Independence", but it would be 6 scale feet too long. The kit instructions show how to correct this by removing the 6 scale feet from the fuselage and how to modify the decals. My question is this; if I make these modifications as indicated in the instructions would it still be considered OOB?
  2. Thanks Gator, that's the one, but I was hoping for something in a bit larger scale. This model would be about 4 1/2" long. Perhaps I might get this one and see if I can scale it up from scratch. I am basically an armor modeler, but the reason that I want to model this particular ship is that it was the one that brought my dad to the US from Belfast, sailed into Boston Harbor on 11/8/26. Anyone know of any scale plans for this ship?
  3. Does anyone make a model of the Anchor Lines SS Transylvania launced in Glascow in 1925? She was later the HMS Transylvania (F56) sunk by U-56 in WWII. If no model, are there any plans of this ship?
