  1. Thanks for the help guys, I really appreciate it! 👍 David
  2. Hi guys and gals, I have taken over as contest director of my chapter for the remainder of the year due to our elected official being unreachable. I have been tasked with doing some research into possibly converting from our current "1st, 2nd, and 3rd place" awards to a "Gold/Silver/Bronze system. I understand that some of our USA clubs are already doing this and I would like to know who they are, how they administer it and score it. Are there more than one Gold/Silver/Bronze awards per category as long as the models meet the Judging criteria/scoring? Inquiring minds want to know... Thanks in advance!
  3. Recent local contest build. Before 'yall rake me over the coals, I'm just an average Intermediate modeler.
  4. I guess I should check in more often.... If you still have this John, what do you want, sale or trade?
  5. If someone has one they are willing to part with, please let me know.
  6. I'll make sure Bugs heads that way. Nice to see a fellow Agapean here!!
  7. 2017 Region 10 Convention and Model Contest June 16-17, 2017 Albuquerque Scale Modeler's website: http://abqscalemodelers.com/ Chile Con 4 website: http://abqscalemodelers.com/Region-10_Chile-Con-4_Home-Page.htm Come on down (or up, over or....) and join the fun!!
  8. Hope you are all well. I've been a modeler off and on since around 1966 when my dad got me a Lindberg Curtiss Jenny. Painted it and the back patio yellow. I have reached what I see as a peak in my modeling for the 3rd time in my life, so this is my 3rd return to the hobby. I have been consistently building again since 2012 and am finally back to where I left off in around 2001, which is about the same as I was in 1997 and 1977. I build almost anything but figures and the such, any airplane in 1/48, especially the obscure and experimental. 1/35 armor, 1/24 cars, 1/350 ships (mostly Submarines) and Scifi (Star Trek, Battlestar Galactica, UFO's) Trains... just don't matter I guess. Been a member of Albuquerque Scale Modelers since around 2000. Were hosting Chile-Con starting on June 16th I believe Check out our website!.
