  3. Thanks for the replies gents! Happy 2011!
  4. Troy, I would second Mike's answer - I don't know of anyone who carries Airfix kits, but I DO always see them on eBay for fair prices.

  6. Well, if I only had ONE shelf, I would be happy... At last count I was well over 35 kits in all forms of assembly. They end up there for many reasons, but most seem to be at the "bottleneck" that is my airbrush space. I have a stack of ~10 sitting there waiting to be painted in some form. The rest are in boxes around my workspace. Some are waiting for some masking, while others are more or less "just getting started". Last year I did make a commitment to finish some projects up before I started any new ones.... Let's see how 2011 goes...
  7. PS: If you have already tried all that and it is still not working, try a quick search or post to the Forum Admin area, or send an email direct to Dennis...
  8. Hi Kevin, Somewhere on the site there is a list of instructions to link a photo. The short version (and I am going from memory). You'll need to upload your photos to a website for storage. I use Photobucket - but there are many out there. It looks like you have that step taken care of! When you hold your mouse over one of your images on Photobucket, you see the drop down menu. One of those choices is titled something like "direct link" = copy that link. On the screen where you post your message here, you will see a little icon that looks like a little green tag with a plus sign. If you hold your mouse over that you see the tool tip "Insert Link" appear. Click on the button. A pop-up box will appear. That box is where you will then Paste you link that you copied from Photobucket. Your image will then link directly to your Photobucket account, and show up in your posting. To my knowledge you cannot load an image to this site, but rather have to link them. I hope this helps! Cheers, Tim
  9. Thank you Ken! That is exactly what I needed to know. I don't think I have built one of the newer AMT kits (when they were in business) but I didn't think they would have parts for the other versions in the same box. Thank you again for your time! Tim
  10. Hello all! Has anyone out there started/built/finished the AMT 1/48 A-20G or A-20J kit? I have a sealed A-20J in my collection, but was looking for an A-20G. Can anyone tell me if there are parts in the J kit to build a G? I assume the only differences would be in the nose area (?) I don't want to open up the one I have just to see that I will need to purchase a new kit. I see this kit has been re-released (by another company) and is currently available again. Thanks for the help! Tim
  11. Thanks Gil, I have Lynn's books on my list of things to watch for. I have heard good things about them, but have not had a chance to see them myself. Cheers!
  12. Thanks Jeff, I do have both of those here. I have a few old Karl Ries books that were done in the 60's & 70's. There is a two volume set that Merrick has done more recently that I have heard good things about, but wanted to get a feel from some others out there who may have them. I've avoided the book sellers for the past several years because I couldn't afford to buy anything new...
  13. Hello all, I am still sorting through my reference books, and have come to the conclusion that most of my "stuff" is pretty dated. I have various books and series of books on German WWII Luftwaffe items, but I would like your throughs on what stands out as YOUR best reference material on the subject. Are the new Merrick volumes the best and most accurate books on the market? How do some of the older books hold up in comparison? Thanks for your ideas! Tim
  14. Nice work! Thanks for posting!
  15. I haven't seen it listed yet, but I would like to add a few. I've always like the A6M Zero - the early A6M2 was much more "graceful" than most of the other early war aircraft. I've also always liked the lines of the M6A1 Seiran (although it looks better without the floats!) BUT I think my favorite was the J7W1 Shinden - hands down one of the best looking aircraft of the war (IMO)
