This is the 1/350 Trumpeter Kit
Thanks for Reference support on this site from Don Schmitz
Completed with a few corrections to Kit that I thought were needed
This is the 1944 version(Somewhat) with a beautiful "dazzle" scheme using Vallejo paints across the board
Changed the dual 20mm guns to single gun using 3D model parts and they were great.
I also added Photo-etch to the Aircraft to Improve...wow what a challenge in 1/350
Master Barrels and they where also real Nice
Thanks for Looking
Comments welcome
Thanks for Help Don and Dave Sepos

I have a discrepancy between the Instructions (Below) and information from "Warship Pictorial # 10" .
The Instructions call for a deck painted in one color ,(I assume is Deck Blue) The Pictorial mentions two deck colors ,Ocean Grey and Deck Blue.
Does anybody have any pattern for the deck colors???
Thank You in advance

This was a very good model for washing your brain..
Well engineered, Great Decals Small and few parts
Just to cleanse the modeling palate.
Custom Paint mix to match Photos(Tried)
Uschi Burnishing powders for exhaust feathers
The great decals made this a Fun project.
Looks bigger than it really is
Comments welcome

A Bit of a modeling challenge here. This is the Hi-Tech Kit I found visiting a Hobby Shop in Grand Junction.
You should always be a little wary about kits in the back with a lot of dust and a description that say High Techbut what the heck ,lets challenge the Model skills !The IsraDecal decals were the best part of this project, I did double them over the fusalage red and that worked Great. Also I had great luck with the Wing formation lights and some blending skills.Alclad and lots of sanding and PrimingPlease let me know if you are not familiar with the term "3 Footer"My interest in the subject was much higher than my skills in this aircraftThe wing tanks and pylons were not included and came from the spares Box. So much for High Tech :-)Something to ViewCheersBill :D :D-

The Dragon 262 had numerous construction challenges, from the wing roots to the gun/ nose sections even the landing gear presented problems with construction.
The BF 109 is the first edition they released. Not easy to see the discrepancies, need a reference model. This was a very nice model to build and the issues are not of my concern.
Thanks for the compliments

Thanks for the positive feedback. In general the kit is an easy build. The parts fit well and have enough detail for interest. The surface detail is nice but not " wow". The use of the Eduard interior color photo-etch,was nice but not mandatory. The Eduard seatbelt systems were much better than the kit simple photo-etch.The lack of wing lights was disappointing.
The paint was decanted Tamiya gloss black. Final sealing coating with Gunze clear Gloss.
