  1. Greetings

Just completed the Revell of Germany F-86 in German Markings.Eagle Strike decals ...very nice

Very easy build except for the wing modifications. Shortening the wings was no issue ..I,m good at cutting. The resin wing caps included were too thin and needed building up on the bottom.

Out of Box with wine sealing seat belts

  4. NMF is Alclad Airframe Aluminum over Alclad Gloss Black Primer. I also used some different shades on panels, Highly polished Aluminum, etc

Airframe Aluminum was easier to mask over than Highly Polished Aluminum. Was able to use Tamiya tape no issues.

Had to buff some panels with SNJ powder after some type of feed through that scared the Alclad.

    Worked OK

I do love the SNJ powder ..

  5. Looks even better. Did you mask the canopy with tape or buy a precut mask? Whose paints are you using?

    Thanks Guys

The Canopy and lower clear parts are masked with Bare Metal foil hand cut on canopy, raised panels were very helpful. Monogram canopy was very clear.smiley20.gif

I used Testor acrylics for RLM 65 and RLM 71, and I used Gunze for RLM 70.

Waiting a few days for the Paints to cure before futuring.

    Thanks for Commentssmiley17.gif

  6. Thanks for the comments Guys

    This is the Hobbycraft Kit.

The paints were all Testors Acrylics thinned with Tamiya thinner. Final coating was Testors Spray "Lusterless" decanted and thinned with lacquer thinner before airbrushing.

I made the intake covers,H.U.D. ,Seat straps.

It does have a soft interior but with the hood down you really can't see anything.

Thanks for the comments on the Bugaboos. That was some masking residue and I brushed it off.

    Thats all I added.

    Cheers

  7. Nice build! I just started doing this kit as an SNJ-5 Navy bird. I'm also buiding it for a friend of mine who owns one and flies it on the airshow circuit. I hope mine comes out as nice as yours as it is part silver lacquer and sea blue. I hate painting silver. Anyway great job.

  8. Here are some photos of a Texan built to present to a friend of mine whose father is in the back seat.

The kit was out of Box and I used Alclad for the the finish. Left all those wonderful rivets proud.

    Cheers
