  1. You asked for it. The ugly Blackburn Blackburn, though the picture makes it better looking than it was.
  2. Remember, Badger will clean and recondition any of their old airbrushes for free. They even pay return postage.
  3. I think the 63-11 is pretty. I nominate the Blackburn Blackburn as the ugliest, as well as the worst named aircraft of all time.
  4. I HATE ACRYLICS! (That feels better) I've not found any acrylic that is as good as even an average enamel. That said, when I have to use an acrylic, it is Tamiya. They are the best, by far. However, I am having some luck with Lifecolor acrylics.
  5. You can get them from the maker. The website is here.
  6. Ron, That is the ugliest aircraft EVER, and the most pooly named.
  7. Lots of good advice above. So, I'll give you something different. When you get your brush, whatever one you get, practice. At first it will be frustrating. There are lots of airbrush tips you can pick up here, but nothing replaces practice. Get an old model and repaint it, again and again and again.
  8. Mark, I bet I get my Boresight before you do! ^_^
  9. Use auto levels and Auto smart fix on your photos. It is the greatest feature of Photoshop Elements.
  10. Ralph, I just err on the side of caution and always put in a bunch more weight than necessary. I've heard that if you use superglue and lead weights that over time there is a chemical reaction that can destroy the model.
  11. Second the Spit or the FW-200
  12. Great model> I wonder if some ^%#$ will come up and tell the builder they got the colors all wrong. :D
  13. Beautiful. In the one true scale as well. Congrats.
  14. My E-500 has a very nice, easy to use, white balance feature. I take a photo of a white sheet of paper at the begining of a photo session and the camera does the white balance from there. It makes a huge difference.
  15. I notice that a lot of model photos posted here and at other forums tend to have a very yellow cast to them. Can one of our resident photo experts explain "white balance", how to use it, and what it can do to give you truer colors on your model photos?
  16. Very nice job. Whose decals did you use? Kit decals?
  17. If you brush paint, then I do think there is an argument to be made for acrylics. Generally, acrylics brush paint better than enamels.
  18. The latest AMPS magazine, Boresight, has an article on building the "Super Pershing"
  19. I am with Gil. Enamels forever! However, if you use Acrylics, I recommend the Tamiya brand.
