  1. Funerals the last two Saturdays have kept me from my bench, but hopefully today I'll be able to get some work done. I love this thread because it can combine everyone's love of model building into a single thread despite what genre you build. I for one know I usually stick to certain sections of the forum but seeing all these different kits that everyone is working on is really inspiring. Just my thoughts, now back to the bench.
  2. I like the skeleton, where did ya get that?
  3. Nope, its just a Teal Pearl over a gray primer so it's a darker shade. Been painted for years, I have been feeling the need to go through my stash and try and get some of the further along projects finally finished and on the shelf. It's been just been fun building and virtually stress free. Cool story by the way too.
  4. Very nice pics, thanks for sharing. Ray
  5. Didn't get much building time this Saturday, had to work. Saint's party today so I may get some time at the bench late tonight. So this is all I have going on so far. 1970 Dodge Duster.
  6. Thanks for the reply Ed and it really wasn't that big a deal to me but now that this new link to a new set of decals was provided I may have to look into getting another set. The kit isn't that old as it's the reissued Lindberg kit so didn't think I would have the issues I did with the decals, but hey live and learn.
  7. Wow, thanks a bunch I may just have to order these.
  8. Posted this in the workbench Saturday thread. Well this kit has been sitting in a display case quite literally for years. Decided to go ahead and git er done!! Well a few more pieces of bare metal foil around the window and I will be forced to call it finished. Ya see I've had the decals to the passenger side sitting with the kit (next to it) for the same amount of time the kit has been sitting there. Well, when I placed them in the water they disintegrated into 1000 tiny pieces almost instantly. So I will be displaying this one driver's side only. Still looks nice with the finished kits though.
  9. Thanks Ken that was an Eggcelent trip through the egg plane history. I really like the deform bikes and may have to search for some of those as well. Thanks again, Ray
  10. Scoped out ebay and there are a plethora of them on there. Haven't used ebay in a few years but think I'm going to be spending some money a fleet of egg planes soon.
  11. I really have become enamoured with the little kits. I cannot seem to find anyone in the states that sells them. I know HLJ has them but have never ordered from them before. Can anyone point me in the right direction.
  12. In addition to getting two second places for the only two models I brought, I managed to be the high bidder on all 3 polar lights 3 stooges kits for only 25.00. This is crazy seeing there was a vendor there selling them for I think 23.99 each!!! Made my day for sure. This was the inagural show for these guys and it was a great turnout. I will have pics posted tonight or tomorrow, until then check out my stooges, nyuk nyuk nyuk!!!
  13. Thanks a bunch! Yeah I drug it down to the show and managed to pull out a second place. I was very happy with that!!
  14. Looks awesome! Very cool concept and execution.
  15. Got to post tonight cause I'm headed to the IPMS Houma-Thibodaux show in the morning. Finished up what was on the bench from last Saturday and now plan to finish my Petty Belvedere which has been on my desk forever.
  16. Now we're talkin! Gooch those F1 cars are awesome! Where can I get my hands on some of those?
  17. There's got to be more than 4 of us with something on the workbench! Come on fellas get your camera's ready and get some projects posted next Saturday!!
  18. On another forum I frequent this is a very popular thread. Just post what you are working on every Saturday. Hope everyone wants to participate. Simple concept, lots of fun, so let me kick it off! Volvoe Estate 850 Wagon BTCC (British Tour Car Championships)
  19. Don't know him but he's a very active member on the Model Cars Magazine Forum.
  20. I would love to learn more about paper modeling. Have never really seen it in person. Did some searches when Dick posted the SIG info and seem to have fallen in love with the idea. Seems very economical, and some of the ships don't even look like paper. I would love to chat more about it and possibly joining up with the SIG. Ray
  21. I know Fine Molds is supposed to be putting out one of those helicopter type vehicles out in June. Had the link but can't find it.
  22. Looks real good. Like the weathering at the bottom of his jacket. I got a bunch of 1/35 scale figures. Just haven't mustered up enough courage to actually try and paint one.
