  1. Well lets's see.

Aircraft - just finished the 1/72nd DML Su-24MR and have in work a 1/72nd Fine Molds Me bf109F-2

Armour - 1/35th Techmods T-50 (going into paint when I finish this blog), 1/35th Tamiya 6x6 (gotta finish up the canvis cover to fit the large passenger), 1/35th Tamiya Marder III Ausf, M with DML figures (base yellow coat & decals down, just gotta add the green)

Sci-Fi- 1/100th Starship Modeler conversion for a heavy destroyer from Star Trek

On the up next pile -

Fine Molds 1/72nd Star Wars Y-wing fighter, Revell of Germany 1/72nd F-5E with FCM decals #72-30 of a jet that I used to crew in special Brazilian AF markings, Trumpter 1/72nd F-107 converting it into a "C" model. Armour wise, gotta finish up my Tauro A7V. Oh and finish up my 1/700th USS Mt. Siribachi heavy assault ship conversion - what if.

  2. Thanks guys. My RF-4C had the red (very faded & dirty) inside the speed brakes, flaps & leading edge flaps, AUX air doors etc. but not on the doors. But hey she was 20 when I crewed her. I didn't think that red was painted on the faying surface.

Thanks for the info & guideance.

  3. OK I'm a bit stoopid, but that's alright. I know that semi-modern USN/USMC aircraft (F-4, A-4 time frame) had the edges of their gear doors painted red to show us stoopid crew chiefs where not to grab. Were the areas of the wheel well where the doors touched the airframe painted red as well?

    Thanks,

  4. I'm working on a 1/72nd Fujimi F-4E that is in Royal Australian Air Force markings (NovaScale decals) and need stencils for it. I have the old MicroScale #72-164 Phantom Data. Might anyone know of another decal sheet that has more and better stencils?

    Thanks,

  5. Hi guys,

First of all, I'm very glad that the Forum is back up. Well done Uncle Bob.

Now for my question. I'm working on the 1/48th Tamiya F4U-1d for a museum in NC and it's almost finished. I'm going to attach it to the great Nautilus Models real wooden deck sections. Any ideas on how I can attach the model to the painted wooden base and secure it properly? I think that superglue won't hold it. I was thinking about drilling holes in the base and using very thin wire to secure it to the base, but that might look dorked up for a permanent display.

    Any ideas?

    Thanks,
