  1. Might anyone know of decals in 1/72nd for a P-6E in the 55th Pursuit Squadron markings? They had the blue disc with yellow swastica inside and aouter ring. I've checked Starfighter Decals, but Mark doesn't have it. Thanks, Tim
  2. Sweet. I'm working on their 251/9 right now. Gotta try and find the AK stuff, I've heard great things about their products.
  3. Looks good Dick. Did you add the stuff to the open one or did it come that way?
  4. Dick, Thanks for the heads up. Gotta get one. I also saw on the Hannant's newsletter that Tamiya is re-releasing their 1/72nd P-51D in Tuskegee markings.
  5. We have the 3rd Army HQ here at Shaw AFB, SC, and all of their vehicles (Hummers & trucks) are desert sand, but their area of responsibility is the Middle East, so it makes sense. The South Carolina National Guard at McEntire JNGB, SC has green, three-tone & sand vehicles; you can see those from the highway.
  6. You could use Testors/Model Master Armor Sand FS30277, #1704 the lighten it up with Sand FS33531 #1706. Hope this helps.
  7. With a nose like that, you could use it while grillin'!! But I'm sure that you've already tried that.
  8. It would be overall Dunkel Gelb with Oliv Grun patches or swiggles. look at the instructions to see which unit they give, then "Google" that unit to see any photos. I'm looking at my J.J. Fedorowicz Publications "Combat History of Schwere Panzerjager Abteilung 653"; it shows several in Orel, July 1943; #121 from 1 Kompanie in Gelb/Grun, #213 from Kompanie 2 in the same scheme, then two pages later it shows #231, again Kompanie 2 but in Dunkel Gelb/Olive Grun/Rot Braun. So just research it my friend. Hope this helps.
  9. Same here. I have that kit along with aftermarket decals. So it looks like a trip to Lowe's is in order very soon for that laser. Thanks for the idea & well done.
  10. Eric, the new version looks great. Thanks for all of your hard work. Tim
  11. That's what I thought, also the early Bisons. Thanks bud.
  12. A freind of mine asked if Panzer 38t's were used in North Africa. i've checked my references but see no eveidence of their use. Might someone know other wise? Thanks, Tim
  13. What about the girls in Farscape? I can't remember the names, but they were...
  14. Alliance ModelWorks has them in decal form. Check it out at http://www.am-works.com/store/decals-c-5.html?osCsid=7stg6n5qqufesetla15mmhlj21. I haven't tried them, but it might be easier than it would be to paint it. Tim
  15. I remember when I went to the Champlain Museum in Mesa, AZ back in '94, they had a "Jug" with the cowls opened up and they were zinc yellow. But you need to remember that this was a restored aircraft, not one off of the production line and in-service.
  16. John, thanks. I might try to get those as I hate to mix my own paint. I never get the portions the same way twice in a row.
  17. I have the new Vulcan Models Vickers Mark VIb light tank, they give the camo scheme for two vehicles from 1940 in G-3 Khaki Green and G-4 Dark Green but the review on Missing Lynx suggests G-4 Dark Green and G-5 Light Green. Any ideas on shades these are and what paints to use? I have plenty of German armour camo info but very light on British, especially early War. Thanks, Tim
  18. Man, you'll have fun painting that thing won't ya? Do I see blues, greys & purples?

    M-ATV

I gotta get one as well
  20. I've been airbrushing them for a year now. I just use clean tap water, experiment on how much. To clean the airbrush afterwards, I again use tap water & run two cups through the airbrush. I then do a cup of Windex, then another a water. I have not had any problem clogging the airbrush or anything. It normally takes two coats to cover the model and put a clear coat on before you do any masking, even with Blue Tac, as the paint will pull up.
