  1. Thanks Joe.....next up is....an I.S.M.A. Super Modified..... a 29 Track nose/boat tail roadster......the 1966 Lloyd Ruby AAR Eagle Indy car.......a F5000 Lola..the Unser car.....The list goes on. The 29 roadster is really hitting me hard...along with the Super. But...as I set here and think about it....I still have a family Race car to build. That's a 34 ford sedan that my uncle drove in 53-54 season at Shasta Speedway, Redding Ca. What ever build I do...I'll post a wip on it. Thank you for the interest.
  2. You two are getting my juices flowing to do one of these. Infact....I have two of the 64s but didn't have that Super Shaker kit. Soooo...thank you bill...I went out and got one. LOL Now...I have to build it. Some day of course.... Hey Ed...your 64 really looks clean and ready to hit the Cruise line....
  3. You went to Kansas huh. What part? I lived in Junction City/Manhattan for about 2yrs. Loved it there. Man Joe.....your sanding skills are GREAT. Those "NO SEAM" areas are as smooth as a baby's behind! This is really going to look good when you get to the primer stage. You're doing a lot of good work here bud!!
  4. ROTFLMBO....MAN.....THAT WAS FUNNY!!! I know what you mean Joe. I'm pretty much in that same vein. I don't try to put any kind of a deadline on myself when it comes to building in scale. That also pertains to any commissioned builds that I do. Can't RUSH the work.....
  5. Thanks for the kind words Ed, Bob, Mike. It is really appreciated.....
  6. Thank you Bill....it was a good build for me. I really enjoyed building a car that brought back some great memories for me from the 60s and 70s. Just watching the Vintage Modified series up here is just flat too Kool. My old neighbor runs a 35 Dodge 5 window coupe in that series. I want to build a replica of his car soon. It's on the build list for sure...
  7. Thanks Joe for the GREAT compliment....This car is finished. Here are some final pics of the 31 Dirt Car. Thanks to ALL who have stop in and commented and gave support to this build....
  8. That's looking really good Joe. Good fab work going on here...
  9. That's Kool it placed on the Podium....it's well deserved.
  10. That came out really good Bill. It sure hits the mark of the cars that cruised on Friday nights when I was in high school. Man...the chicks would be "ALL OVER" you and that car at the Pine street parking lot. :D Great job.
  11. Thanks Joe... The chassis is finished. I've also started on the Decals on the body. Hopefully I will get that finished this weekend or sooner. Here are a few pics of the finished chassis.... Thanks for looking in folks...
  12. LOL...I hear you on that. You made them work with this build real well....
  13. That looks very KOOL Bob. You did a great job on the weathering and Hand lettering..it really fits the paint scheme. That ball and chain is really kool...
  14. Well Joe...I think this body will give you more.... "body sanding/putty work" skills. It's going to look KOOL when you're finished with it...that's for sure.
  15. Well...here's an update sooner than I thought I could get done. This is not finished yet but you can see the paint scheme that was applied. The racing harness and the dash still need to be added to the interior to finish that area. Here are a few pics of the body paint. Numbers, sponsors, nerf bars and trunk lid still have to be added. Thanks for looking in....
  16. Parts by Parks have good Turned Aluminum parts. I've used the air cleaners quite a bit. Jack at Model Roundup is great to work with. I get the PPP tires and wheels from him.
  17. Man Joe...this is really looking good. One question though...where's the beer in the cooler?? If we're watching a "B" Ball game on the screen...we need a DOG and A beer...ya know??? LOL
  18. The chassis is a roller now and in these mock up pics...the cage isn't in. I'm still adjusting the front body height..and I think I like it where it's at now. All body work is finished and it's ready for color. I still have to run the fuel line from tank to carb. That will be done when when I mount the engine in permanently. That should be today... Here's a few pics to see the stance... Thanks for looking in folks......
  19. Hey Joe...thanks for the compliment bubba!!! Man...I don't mind the speed that 10 has...but it's set up in the same fashion as my wife's' i phone. All the tiles and the same B.S on the desk top. Sooo...I reset my desk top with my own pic and set all the the icons that I want to go to there also. It's the same way I had it when I had XP Pro. Man...Why do they keep mess'in with a good thing. Of course...WE know the answer to that question....MONEY. Oh well...I guess if a person wants to play in this ball park...they have to abide by the park rules. I digress now...LOL
  20. Thanks for the compliments folks. It's been some time since I've been able to do an update. My computer went waaaay south on me and I had to buy a new one. It was loaded with Windows 10, and Man...I had to learn all the idiosyncrasies ( had to look that word up...spell check didn't even come close..LOL). Here is an update: The chassis is ALMOST complete. Still have to finish with the fuel cell and mount it in plus run the fuel line to the fuel log on the carb. Front end is done. the rear is complete along with the brake lines from the master cylinder. I still have to make the Racing harness and mount the seat in after they are made. The first coat of the first color will be shot on in a day or so. It's starting to look like a finished car. Here are a few pics for a look see.... The front with the poseable steering... Rear end with the Brake plumbing... Filters on Carb and valve cover. The Spring and throttle linkage are added here too... The other side to see fuel log..and interior work..... There's still a few things to finish but it's starting to give that let's fire it up feel. Thanks for looking in folks....
  21. Hey there Mr. Susan...Life is grand here. A little hot but GOOD. The Resin is about the same. The Music business is on the slow side of the record for me. I've really retired for the most part. REALLY keeping myself busy with scale builds though. My computer went away on me and I had to get another one. It's got windows 10 and I'm still learning all the different locations and wording that they've added or TAKEN AWAY. I had to cut back to 32 bit so I can run my ALPS printer. I will say though...this puppy does RUN a WHOLE BUNCH FASTER. Still... In my opinion...XP was a great program....easy to figure out and run... But....(the infamous BUT....LOL) I'm learning this one know. It's taken me awhile and I hope to have update pics on my 31 build here pretty soon. Hope you're doing good down there. I'll bet it's "cook'in".
  22. Man Dave...it's been awhile. Your work still looks way kool! Great fab work. I really like the way you made the hood open too...Thanks for sharing and I'm looking forward to more pics...
  23. Thanks for all the great compliments folks... I just got my computer back from the shop and it's got windows 10 in it and I'm still working with it. Trying to learn all the NEW stuff. I do have update pics to take and load in. As soon as I get to that....I'll post a few update pics....
  24. You did an outstanding job on this Nova Bob. It sure hits the mark of the type of street cars that ran( cruze'd) the streets when I was in High School.
  25. Man Bob....you did a very good job on this bad boy. Very clean work annnnd...the engine bay looks ready to fire up.
