  1. Duke, Phil was the one to thank. However, even EvilBay only has them available from overseas. Squadron carries the AMX-30 in "I need an optivisor to see the hull" scale so maybe they might get some of the 13s as well.
  2. Gil, Great idea though I mentally (yes, I am challenged) filed that under the brush technique when I was typing my reply. Great option that you offered. :Smile_sceptic:
  3. I have also come across some deals at Home Depot. DeWalt makes some clamps in 4 1/2 sizes as well. While they are about $5 a piece, Very useful so far! http://www.factoryauthorizedoutlet.com/dewalt-dwht83191-4-35lb-clamping-force-small-trigger-clamp
  4. Z, IMHO you can't get the effect of chipping the Shep Paine way that hairspray allows. If you are going to do just simple small chips and scratches, stick to his way. If you are going to do bold large area chipping (say Lebanese Militia T-55 or my Egyptian M4A4/A2 Fl10) you need to attempt the hair spray. http://forum.ipmsusa3.org/index.php?/topic/14801-egyptian-m4a4a2-fl-10/&do=findComment&comment=84706
  5. 3DinScale has produced two more IDF related items. M3 Halftrack windscreen http://www.shapeways.com/product/SDW2AJE68/idf-30cal-mg-window-mount-1-35?li=search-results-1&optionId=57688204&rc=SearchResults M2 External Fuel Tanks http://www.shapeways.com/product/894GLS36Z/idf-m2-external-fueltanks-1-35-2x?li=search-results-1&optionId=58111170&rc=SearchResults
  6. Thanks Phil and it has been a great year and more coming for those of us that build MEW subjects.
  7. More thanks guys!!!! Model Master Radome Tan is my choice of color for most of my Egyptian builds. I was lucky with the Dragon DS tracks and having the ability to adjust the Tasca idler wheels. If this combo had not worked, I would have been assembling the Bronco version and I hear that is no easy task.
  8. Thanks to Phil for the pictures.... http://www.ipmsusa3.org/gallery/v/events/2015/Boise/
  9. Thanks to Shawn for the pictures.... http://www.ipmsusa3.org/gallery/v/events/2015/VancouverBC/
  10. Thanks...It was a really fun build and first using the hairspray technique so it was a learning experience also.
  11. Added a M578 gallery http://www.ipmsusa3.org/gallery/v/walkarounds/armor/M578/
  12. Thanks to the Fort Douglas Museum.... 13. Clare, All that proves is that you are both a couple of OLD FUDDY DUDDYS!!!! LOL :Smile-tongue:
  14. Scott, The only one on your list I use is Sprue. For the reason you said and "LIVE TIME" inventory. Squadron is absolutely useless to me as their sales are for things I could care less about. I usually shop for kits via ebay and use my LHS for any supplies I need. Another great online for me is RnJ. While they may not have loads of inventory, they are local for me and that makes shipping fast.
  15. Thanks all! I have to admit...Seems the Judges liked it as well as you all did. Every contest it was entered it won a first!
  16. These are just the ones I took! What a great show it was!!! http://www.ipmsusa3.org/gallery/v/events/2015/OHMS/
  17. Great Show! Stunning models! Completely filled the SUPPORT THE TROOPS donation station and then some. Hope to have some pictures up this evening. Thanks again to the OHMS group for an excellent show!
  18. For those of us in the Great Northwest, it is another great show!!!!! Looking forward to seeing all the models on display.... and checking if they added any new armor out back. http://www.ipms-portland.org/show-main.htm
  19. I still find Gunze Sangyo dissolved putty to be the best. It probably does not work well with wide cracks but has been great for everything that I have used it on so far. I like the control the best. nothing more than a paint brush.
  20. Thanks guys! I am not a BIG weathering guy. I rarely do it so it will be sometime before I try again.
  21. Duke, I think he is only using the hull and paddle wheels. I think he is scratchbuilding it into something else. Mark
  22. Currently looking for a Great Eastern for a friend. The Entex kit is listed as 1/400 while the Revell/Revell Of Germany offerings are both listed as 1/388. I am almost positive these are all the same remolded kit. The question is....Did Revell re-measure items or did they just put a different scale on it to confuse us treasure hunters?
