I got the cockpit installed in the fuselage and got the rear bulkhead filled and sanded to match the contour of the rear deck. The contour of the kit part was different that the Aires tub so I added some styrene shim and filled with CA. Its hard to see in the pictures because of the clear CA but the contour matches the rear canopy deck.
Here is a couple of pics.

Here are some cockpit photos of my in progress build of the 1/48 Tamiya F-16C. This jet will be done in the blue Flanker scheme. I will be using Afterburner Decals' Arctic Aggressor sheet. The cockpit is Aires and the seat is Quickboost. I prefer the Quickboost seat because of the molded on belts. The data placards on the seat are from the kit decal sheet.
More to come...

I haven't posted in a while but here's my 1/32 P-40E. I modeled "Yellow 49" Aleutian Tiger from the 343rd FG 11th FS in the Aleutians 1942. I thought this was different in that there were no blue surrounds on the national insignia. I got the idea from a photo in Squadron's In Action book.
-Removed extra frame work to make a 'E' windscreen
-Mike Grant instrument decals
-Added wiring behind instrument panel
-Eduard external photo etch
-ID bands and stars were masked and painted
-Decals are Barracuda Cals P-40E Warhawks Part I
-Added brake lines
-Added extra plumbing/wiring to the wheel wells
-Enhanced the gunsight by adding an MV lens
-Used an MV lens for the landing/taxi light and fuselage formation lights
-Made seat belts from Tamiya tape and the buckle hardware from Eduard 1/32 USAAF seatbelt set
-Antenna is E-Z line
-Modelmaster paint
-Pastel weathering
Now on to the pictures...
Thanks Jim, I had heard of Airscale but thought they were doing just 1/24 scale stuff. I went to their website and checked out the 1/32 Luftwaffe instruments...Nice! I plan to order a couple of sets.

I wish Mike Grant would do Luftwaffe instrument panel decals. I used the 1/32 US instrument decals on the Hasegawa P-40 I'm finishing up and they are really nice and easy to use. Very time consuming but worth it. I'll post some pics when I'm done.

Do you have any micromesh sanding pads or something equivalent? If so, try wet sanding with the 4000 grit one. This way you run less risk of removing paint.
