  1. Hunting season is now open, let the bullets fly! IN COMING!!!!!!!!!!! :Smile-tongue: Oh look I just aded to my post count! Cool!!!! Chris :Smile_sceptic:
  2. I have heard really good things about this kit. Funny about the non-skid texture. I wonder is Meng doesn't have the equipment to do non-skid? I did there Merekava and it came without the non-skid too. Chris :Smile_sceptic:
  3. Great scratch building. The paint is looking great to with all the chipping.I am confuse thou, what happened to the three tone camo paint? I don't see it! Chris :Smile_sceptic:
  4. Thanks Z & Chris! I used a combination of washes, pigments. Thanks, Chris :Smile_sceptic:
  5. Looking good Mark. I don't really see any bowing, but maybe it's the photo. Looks good to me. Chris :Smile_sceptic:
  6. Well Dick you did build a armor piece. It falls into the soft skin/wheeled vehicle catagory. Good effort, great rusty exhaust. And don't play any attention to Mark. I don't want to see another civil war break out only this time TX vs WA. As long as you build anything armor I'm a happy camper. :army7: P.S. What the heck does Mark know about German WWII stuff anyway, I thought all he builds is IDF and Middle east war stuff. Just saying. :Smile-tongue: Chris :Smile_sceptic:
  7. Mark, I haven't seen these, thanks for sharing this. They look as good as the D-toys Modern antennas for US AFV's. Chris :Smile_sceptic:
  8. Thanks for the great comment Jim! Chris :Smile_sceptic:
  9. Thanks guy for the great comments. Chris :Smile_sceptic:
  10. Thanks Mark, I hear ya on the cost. I pony up $$$ for the Legand convertion kit, AFV tracks, Sling Shot models commanders Cupila, AM antennas, and still had to do a lot of scratch building. Not a cheap hobby by any means. Chris :Smile_sceptic:
  11. I was able to get some more work done on my Theme build for AMPS. The turret is completed. Still have the tracks, figure, and a ton of bolt heads to do. Enjoy!
  12. I have done the Meng kit not the Hobby Boss one. Looks great. Very nice job. Chris :Smile_sceptic:
  13. This is a build I'm doing for this years up coming AMPS International show. The theme is Tanks on Film. Any AFV that has been shown on tv or in the movies is good to go. I have choosen to do the M48 tank shown in the movie PATTOn as a German DAK WWII tank. It is a convertion of the old Tamiya M48A3 kit. I have had to fill in all the motorized holes and did surgery on the back to change over to a gasoline M48. The uper superstructure is completely re-done. I am using a Legend resin kit, AFV indiv, track links, Sling shot models commanders cupola, Barrel store turned metal barrel, and a lot of scratch building to change this over. This is my WIP so far.
  14. Mark, Nice builds and very good weathering on the first one. I have always been impressed with the wide range of AFV subjects that are produced in the smaller scales. You Brille scale guys are truely blessed. Model on dude!!! Chris :Smile_sceptic:
  15. LOL Agree!!!!! Chris :Smile_sceptic:
  16. I think "Glue Sniffer" needs to be in there somewhere. Chris :Smile_sceptic:
  17. Great out put, great models from a great model builder as always. Chris :Smile_sceptic:
  18. Very nice build so far. I did this same vehicle a couple of years ago. I will following this build to see how it comes out. Chris :Smile_sceptic:
  19. Mark, Really glad you liked this one. It was a lot of work with adding a full interior and all. Very pleased how it came out. Thanks, Chris :Smile_sceptic:
  20. Thanks Russell and Gil, The Fenders are PE that I used to replace the kit ones. I used plier and cutters to mangle up the fenders. The Item hanging on the side of the structure is and Armor Plug. It was seen on German and Russian AFV. It was for ventalation, a somewhat view port and could be used for a pistal port. The chipping was done with burnt amber paint that was free hand painted on random. The trick is to do this after the camo paint is done and before any weathering. I blend everything in with washes, rust streaks, rain streaks, and more washes. As for the cast on the mantel it was part of the kit. I used the Tamiya Sturmtiger kit. Chris :Smile_sceptic:
