  1. I use metal barrels all the time. As long as you prime the model you can paint with acrylics. I use the Tamiya grey primer in a spray can. Have always had good luck with it. Chris :Smile_sceptic:
  2. White is difficult to work with period. Great job so far.
  3. SEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEE After all your Whining coming back from the Nationals with this fantastic model you built, I knew she was a winner. Told you so! NANANANANANA :Smile-tongue: Chris :Smile_sceptic:
  4. Very nice Pedro!! Chris :Smile_sceptic:
  5. Great job Rob! Chris :Smile_sceptic:

Federico, Nice build with lots of detail. Weathering is spot on and not over done. Great job! Chris :Smile_sceptic:
  7. Things are coming along fine on all projects. Any updates with the STUG? Was hoping to see more progress on that one. Love the detail on that kit. Chris :Smile_sceptic:
  8. If it's on the tank in the film, it will be on the model tank as well. Not much for markings, the German cross on the two sides of the turret as well as black numbers (which were never used by the DAK) and a DAK symbel on the right mud flap. Thats it! Simple. Chris :Smile_sceptic:
  9. Quick update on my M48 build. I have put together a figure from my parts box to look like the tank commander in the film. Also I have started to add the100 plus bolt heads per side to the fender supports. One side is done with one to go.
  10. Nice tones and highlights. Great job! Chris :Smile_sceptic:
  11. JIm, That make since. I did not know this, thanks for sharing. Chris :Smile_sceptic:
  12. Great job! Chris :Smile_sceptic:
  13. Great build so far. You are going to have a lot of fun dirtying this thing up. Must say that is the first time that I have ever seen spare tracks placed along the hull between the road wheels. Clearly show up in the photo. I wonder what would happen if one came loose and got into the tracks? Chris :Smile_sceptic:
  14. I saw this posted on Missing links and was very impressed with it then. Great job, everything flows together very well. Chris :Smile_sceptic:
  15. Welcome Marcos!! Chris :Smile_sceptic:
  16. Looks great. How did you like the fruil tracks. I use them all the time. I have a hard time not using them for all my builds now. I love them. Chris :Smile_sceptic:
  17. Looking good! Chris :Smile_sceptic:
  18. All glue together Mark! To view inside you have the back and roof hatch to look inside. I tried to put a LED light in it, but that was an after thought and did not work out due to not planing on the wire run and where to place the light. Next build with a interior I will do it. 19. Thanks Pedro! Chris :Smile_sceptic:

    Nice! Chris :Smile_sceptic:
  21. After carefully taping off the areas that do not get the non-skid, apply textured spray paint that you can fine at any craft store. Works great.Chris :Smile_sceptic:
  22. Being a former Navyman, I would say with the size of the crew back then and all hands turning two, about two days or less would be my guess. Funny the two basic things I took from the Navy besides my actual job training was that every sailor is a painter and a firefighter. Being a builder and a tradesman now is probably why I hate painting. Not that I'm not good at it, just that I have done way to much of it. Chris :Smile_sceptic:
  23. Thanks Mark. It is hard to see all the detail inside when everything is completed. But it's there and I happy with the final results.
