  1. Good to have you here, Ronald! Later, Lee
  2. Good to have you here, Pete! "Pay it forward" is a terrific way to go thru life...I applaude you for taking that path, sir. Later, Lee
  3. I'd like to do the same thing except in 1/48 scale, David. I've got the Old Aeromaster AVG set and a few odds and ends. Later, Lee
  4. This kit (along with their snap-Tite A-26) is a nice representtation. These kits can be built into very nice and accurate models with just a bit more detailing and better quality decals. That's a nice buy there and your son should enjoy building it! Later, Lee
  5. Nice find, Kevin! Any particular questions that you might have? Later, Lee
  6. Gil, I wish I had $50 to offer you! Like I said I'll have to keep an eye out for one on the cheap. Tim, I did know that they are two separate pieces but I figured since they work in conjunction with one another that it would be wise to have each part. I know that Mr. Klaus seems to think anything touched by him is worth gold so I seriously doubt it's worth contacting him (if that was even possible). I'll just try to keep an eye out for one of these as well. Again, I sincerely appreciate everyone's help on this. And if any of you out there have either of these items I'd be interested. Please understand I do have a fairly small budget. Grateful, Lee
  7. Thanks David! I have had that site bookmarked for quite some time and it is terrific. I just figured it would be nice to have both the chips and the book in print form so that it's easier to lay out while I am working on my projects. I guess what I couls do is print out the pages of info and then keep an eye out for one of the color chips wheels at an affordable price. Thanks again for the information! Later, Lee
  8. Thanks Kit! I checked it out and lo and behold here's the link if you want to buy one... http://www.estore.fed-std-595.com/FED-STD-...B0.qscstrfrnt05 However, at $158 I think I will pass and just hope to run across one a wee bit cheaper down the line. Later, Lee
  9. Outstanding work, Jeff! Love to see the vacs done so nice. Later, Lee
  10. Looking forward to seeing the C-75 completed, Mark! Later, Lee
  11. Thanks for the info, Tim. Later, Lee
  12. Just wondering if the IPMS/USA FS reference book and color chart is still around and can be bought? I think that David Klaus did this, correct? I never got around to getting one and I am thinking now is a good time. IPMS/Stockholm has a very nice chart on their website but I was hoping for something that I could put my hands on. Thanks for any help! Lee Fogel
  13. Outstanding work, james! Love the tire idea...that's just a smart trick! Nice subtle weathering as well. Later, lee
  14. Nice!!! I recall seeing that at times in Kentucky especially in the eastern area of the state. As for us up here in Homer, Alaska we got "dusted"...as in 5-6 inches of snow. Oh well, most of it has since melted. Still, we are VERY tired of the white death right now. Later, Lee
  15. Looks terrific to me, Gil! I'd love to get ANY 1/48 kit of the E-2C but they are both well out of my price range. Anyone gotta started E-@ that they need to unload? Later, Lee
  16. Looking good, Mark! Diggin' the Swedish 103B and the '106 especially. Any idea what markings the '106 will be getting? Later, Lee
  17. Nice digs, David! Cool touch with the small TV. Later, Lee

Just beautiful work, James! Later, Lee
  19. I appreciate your observations on this, Dave. It makes perfect sense to me...now I'll just have to add one to my wish list. Later, Lee
  20. Awesome work, Gil! What a cool idea on the XF-93 and a smart way to use leftovers. Philip, I will try to get pics up and get my Kita entered by this weekend. Thanks again for the info and the link. Later, Lee
  21. Nice to have you here, Chris! Later, Lee
  22. Wow Phil I wish I had paid attention as I have a nifty "whiffer" I could have added...ever seen an N1K6 "Kita"? It's what you get when you combine an old Wings48 Rex and replace the floats with skies and add some rocekt pods. Had fun doing the backstory on that one... Neat stuff and a cool contest idea for sure. Thanks for sharing! Later, Lee
  23. Thank you for the opinions and information, Dave and Dick! Sounds like they really have a nice product. A few folks on HS were talking about them this past fall/winter and seemed to like them as well. Might have to add one to my birthday wish list. I've used both Badger and Paasche with good results (especially my Badger 200 and 150) but this looks like it might be a nice option. BTW can either of you explain how you wind up using less paint with a gravity-fed a/b? Maybe I am a dunce but I don't get it. Later, Lee
  24. Looks sharp, Kenny! A buddy of mine is in the IT business and is setting me up with a laptop for my workbench once we get settled back statesided this July...I am soooo looking forward to this. Makes working on stuff quite a bit easier for sure. Later, Lee BTW where exactly do you have teh stash hidden?
