  1. Well guys, I finally finished this model. Special thanks to Mike Quan for the 2013 IPMS National Convention decals used on it.
  2. The Kaiser would be very pleased.. Nice work! Mark
  3. Nice going, Steve! These kits remind me of the 1950's when, like some of my other contemporaries, loved to buy and build Revell, Aurora, Lindbergh Line, and Hawk kits just to name a few. Mark
  4. A good decision. In the area of history, I hope we can fill the gap somehow as more of the general, younger populace knows little or nothing at all about this nation's past, or values, which is obvious.
  5. Nice work, Mark. I hope my forthcoming F-86 looks half that good. Happy Modeling, Mark
  6. Way to go, Gil! Keep up the good work. I took the same attitude on my P-6E Hawk biplane a few years back. Best, Mark
  7. Welcome aboard Steve. You're in good company! Mark
  8. Nice going Drew! The old Otaki kits bring back many pleasant memories. Mark
  9. Mark: It seems to have a problem all right. I have the list and it is fairly long. I will try to contact my customer and see if he can contact these folks. I will be in touch. Thanks, Mark
  10. I received a list of old aircraft kits from a customer of mine, and I'm not entirely sure if more contact information is available beyond the following website: sixfox@earthlink.net. (Flagship Enterprises) Among the listings are Airfix, Anmark, Artiplast, AMT, Aurora, Matchbox, Pyro, Revell, Smer, and so forth. Check it out, and see if there is anything worth value or not. This is the only information I have at this time. Happy Modeling, Mark
  11. Way to go, Bill! Very nice! Mark
  12. Welcome aboard Harry. You're in good company! Mark
  13. Welcome aboard Bob. Have a great time! Mark
  14. Thanks Joe. The dimensions are approximately 27 1/2" wingspan, 18" fuselage length, and 7" in height. Gil and Mark Deliduka were right. It can be a beast to build at times. This is the fourth 4 engined bomber I have built in 60 years of modeling. All the best, Mark
  15. I free handed it with my airbrush. Thanks Gil, Mark
  16. Many thanks, Gil and Mark. I built this particular Liberator for a customer of mine in nearby Sun City who is publishing a WWII novel based on the exploits of this plane. The book will be entitled "Before The Bell" and it will be released in November. He will be displaying this model on book reviews here in Texas and maybe elsewhere. I managed to produce a clear acrylic display case for it and it came out well. You're right about this model being a beast, Mark.. There were no frills, I built it out of the box. It's the old Monogram-Revell kit and it took some doing to get it fairly accurate. The nose art was courtesy Red Pegasus Decals. The rest came from my spare decal storage. This plane was among several in contention with the famous "Memphis Belle" as to which one was the first to fly 25 missions. Unfortunately, "Hot Stuff" crashed in Iceland on her way back to the states for a typical war bond tour, killing the crew, and one of the casualties was General Frank Andrews. Best, Mark ,
  17. I remember it well, despite the many years that have transpired. My mother and I walked into the M.E. Moses 5 and 10 cent store in the Wynnewood Shopping Center in Dallas, Texas. The year was 1955. My eyes feasted upon an Aurora 1/144" B-17, and the rest was history. Mark
  18. Well done, Gil. Keep up the good work! Mark
  19. Nice work, Ken! I'm working on a B-24 myself. Happy Modeling, Mark
  20. Welcome aboard Michael. IPMS is a great place to be, and we look forward to more of your projects. Mark
