wdedig
Greetings I was thinking of going to Omaha with this when completed ,but after completion I realized I would have to purchase another seat. This is a Large Aircraft. I tried Photos outside with different Backdrops. This is a model of an F-105F from when I was stationed at McConnell AFB in 1973. Simple backdate of the Monogram F-105G. I added Metal Landing Gear and Master Pitot both good additions I used Uschi Powders on the Dive Brake Exhaust Petals Paints were a collection of "What I Had" Gunze Dark Green, Testors Acrylic Lighter Green, Vallejo Brown and Humbrol Gray This is a great classic model kit I still have a few items to add,(F.O.D. covers) Thanks for Viewing Bill
ghodges
Terrific looking Thud! It may be a "classic" but your skills really put a shine on it. Coincidentally, we had a new member attend our meeting today, "Buck" Dean, who was a Thud driver in 'Nam and actually went downtown! We'll be digging stories out from him for the next year, I'm sure! :smiley20: GIL :smiley16:
wdedig
Thanks Gil I really enjoyed this model. It was fun digging back in the memory banks to 1974 in Kansas. Cheers Bill
wdedig
Greetings The "Thud" is now complete with the addition of the FOD Covers Vacuform from Koster and Aluminum Rod Cheers Bill
ghodges
A nice, simple, yet colorful addition to the model. The Koster intake set is one of the best modeling values out there (If you build 1/48 jets), and is generally unknown and unused because of the dreaded word "vacuform"! Sadly, with Bill's retirement, they may become harder to get too (though I did hear someone bought most of his molds)! GIL :smiley16:
Mark Deliduka
That is a beautiful job on one of my top five favorite aircraft. I really love the camouflage work on that. I just wish I could get to Omaha.

Rusty White
Nice photography on those shots. Good depth of field which is tough to do on aircraft.
