Guest PetrolGator
Musashi is one of the "holy grail" wreck among both enthusiasts. Paul Allen, of Microsoft fame, is evidently bored, rich, and a lover of history. He's chosen to spend a good amount of time locating undiscovered wreck, document them, and provide the information to history. So far, two images have surfaced: her bow and a valve. IJN Musashi, unike her sister, went down with magazines flooded, so it's possible she survived her journey to the bottom relative intact. ...and she is upright. https://twitter.com/PaulGAllen/status/572431062522982400/photo/1
VonL
All shipwrecks give me the creeps. This kind especially.
noelsmith
Imagine trying to raise that one! Probably will never happen as it is probably a designated war grave like many other sunken wartime ships. I think that the only exception to this is the Graf Spee. She was scuttled by Captain Landsdorf to save all the lives of his crew as the ship would have put to sea facing overwhelming odds. I have heard that there is an attempt to raise her and make her into a museum ship in Montivideo.
Guest PetrolGator
Musashi is, unfortunately an obliterated wreck. There's no hope to raise her. :(
